The BIEN Plant-O-Matic feature furnishes a species list for any area in North and South America with a precise 100 sq. km resolution derived from 3,585,449 standardized plant observations and geographical range models.

The BIEN dataset is the result of a meticulous integration of data from global herbaria and ecological studies. It's important to note that while certain regions enjoy better representation, issues such as the presence of cultivated species and potential overestimation of some species' geographic ranges might arise. The app aims to serve as a general botanical reference to unveil the diverse flora surround you; all information is presented "as is," and neither BIEN nor Ocotea Technologies and associates accept responsibility for data accuracy.
